Year 8 Public Speaking Competition
Friday 12th June saw the Grand Final of the Year 8 Public Speaking competition. Year 8 students prepared and delivered a speech in their individual classes before ten finalists were successful in winning a place in the final.
The students spoke confidently and fluently on their chosen topic: “The world is an interesting place” or “Friendship is the most important thing” and after an extremely high standard of competition the judging panel had to make the difficult choice of who would win. Alice (8CB) was placed 2nd while Bobbi (8CB) was awarded 1st place. Congratulations to all competitors who spoke with enthusiasm and flair and must be commended for making it to the Final.
