Two Year 8 Netball squads attended the Year 8 Cross Community Netball Tournament in Dungannon Integrated College on Friday 8th March. Seven teams were involved in the competition. Teams involved included Fivemiletown College, Drumglass, Integrated College Dungannon, Drumragh Integrated and Cookstown High School.
All teams had to play in a round robin competition in which Cookstown ‘A’ squad finished top of the group. They had to face Integrated College Dungannon in the final and after a nail biting match, the game finished in a 5 all draw and went to extra time. Despite a fantastic performance, our Year 8’s were beaten by just one goal in the final seconds of the game. Regardless of the final score, we were able to secure silver medals which was a fantastic achievement. Well done to all Year 8 netballers involved in another successful Tournament.
