Student Investor Challenge is an online competition run by the Business Studies department. It allows teams to experience the dynamic world of share trading and be in with a chance to win a trip to New York, £200 spending money for each team member and £2000 for the school.
Each team consists of 4 students and will have £100,000 of virtual money to invest in the Stock Market.
By reading and forecasting market information provided online, students can identify shares and make judgements of when to buy and sell in order to make a profit. Tips are given along the way of how shares can be managed to ensure success.
The competition is played online at www.studentinvestor.org and a national league table allows students to track progress against others at CHS and teams from schools and colleges across the UK.
Registration closes 8 November. Speak to either Mrs Foster or Mrs McDonald (Business Studies Department), to register.
