Some year 10 Home Economics classes experienced a ‘Ready, Steady…COOK!’ style lesson.
This was designed primarily to focus on developing their ‘being creative’ skills. However, a number of other skills were also enhanced including using maths, communication, working with others, time management, managing information and thinking, problem solving and decision making. Pupils worked in groups to devise and cook their own recipes, incorporating the allocated basic ingredients, as well as optional items from the store cupboard or fridge.
