Year 12 pupil Grace competed in the London Mini Marathon at the weekend. She was selected to represent Northern Ireland at this prestigious event after performing very well in the schools cross country championships in February and March.
Grace and over 200 other Under 17 athletes from around the UK had the honour of running the last 3 miles of the main marathon route, finishing on The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace. Performing superbly well she finished in 46th position and was the second Northern Ireland athlete across the line despite being a year young.
Everyone in Cookstown High School is very proud of Grace and what she has achieved so far in a promising athletics career. (Grace is pictured far right in the photo below)
