Jenny Thompson, a representative from the Magherafelt Trussell Trust Food Bank, visited Cookstown High School in February to speak to Year 14 Nutrition and Food Science pupils. She explained the work of the Trussell Trust and the role of the food bank in tackling food poverty within the local area. She also highlighted some of the services and support offered through the food bank and their links with other professional bodies and charities. The Year 14 students generously supported the work of the food bank by donating a variety of foods.
