Covid19 - Advice on managing cases in school
7th Sep 2020
Parents/Carers please take note of the Department of Education advice below on how to manage possible or confirmed COVID-19 cases in school.
We are taking the risks to pupils and staff very seriously and would appreciate if parents/carers could reinforce this with pupils.
- Pupils should be encouraged to wear the face covering when in communal areas.
- Pupils should not congregate with those outside the year group, unless a family bubble.
- Pupils are not supervised on campus until 9.10 and so pupils who are dropped off at school early and who then leave the premises (unauthorised) before the start of the day and return by 9.25 are bringing additional transmission risk to themselves and others. This needs to stop please.
- Pupils exhibiting cold/flu symptoms including a new, continuous cough, high temperature or loss of taste/smell MUST remain at home and follow PHA advice.
We urge care and consideration towards all in the school and local community.
