Cookstown High School will have a ‘Christmas Dinner and Christmas Jumper’ day on Tuesday 17th December.
A traditional Christmas dinner will be served in the school canteen at lunchtime. This will cost £2.80 for pupils (or provided by Free School Meal entitlement). Desserts will be available at an additional £1.50. Please remind students to credit their account with funds ahead of Tuesday lunchtime, the Christmas dinner is a firm favourite and the canteens are always busy!
Pupils will be able to wear a Christmas Jumper to school on Tuesday 17th in return for a donation to charity (Minimum donation £1). Proceeds will be used to support the Lesidi project in South Africa. The Lesidi school provides disadvantaged children from the townships with access to education via a Saturday school. Cookstown High School is supporting a pupil at the school over the next few years, providing them with life changing opportunities through education. This support will involve fundraising and opportunities for pupils to learn more about the situation for children in South Africa as well as an ongoing links between the two schools.
