Charity concert with Jordan O'Keefe
Britain’s Got Talent star Jordan O’Keefe is coming to Cookstown!
He has been invited to star in a special concert organised as part of a project led by a group of seven enterprising Year 11 Business Studies students at Cookstown High School. The project was their brainchild and is being organised under the guidance of their teacher Mrs M Ferguson and in association with The Enterprise Factor CIC, Belfast.
Already the project is creating a buzz around the school. It combines a range of employability related skills including liaising with businesses, the media and organising the logistics of a major event.
The headline act will be Jordan O’Keefe and featuring alongside him will be comedian, Fabu D Thomas from Dublin; Joseph McVeigh from Dungannon and a host of talent from the High School itself.
Proceeds from the concert, which is to be held in the afternoon of 20 June, will go to two charities: Epilepsy Awareness and Cookstown Community Cancer Charity.
The pupils are very grateful to local businesses which have already given them financial support:
Royal Hotel, RT Autoparts, MAC Automation, Stanley Bell & Sons, Haffey Sports Grounds, Just Desserts, Tulip Beauty, Keystone Lintels, Serephina and Embroiderus.
