Careers in the agri-food industry

Liz Simpson, a lecturer from Loughry College, visited the Home Economics department to speak to Year 13 AS Nutrition and Food Science pupils. She spoke to them about the wide array of career options within the agri-food industry and also took the opportunity to explain the range of courses available at Loughry College. 
Food graduates remain in high demand and with the food sector recognised as ‘extremely important to the Northern Ireland e...conomy’, there is an urgent need to address the skills gap facing the food and drink industry at management level.
