2016 Football Tour
Thirty pupils travelled to Manchester on 26th February for a four day tour.
They played two matches against Sir William Stanier College, Crewe on the way over. The PE teacher there is ex Cookstown High School pupil Neil McGuckin. Day two started with a tour of Old Trafford football stadium before the boys headed to Ewood Park to watch Blackburn Rovers beat MK Dons 3-2 in an exciting match. The highlight of the tour was Sunday afternoons Premier League match between Manchester United and Arsenal. The atmosphere was electric and Man Utd won 3-2.
The tour finished with a ten pin bowling tournament prior to returning home on Monday.
A great time was had by all and the hotel manager praised the excellent behaviour and good manners of the boys throughout their stay.
