Netball

Netball is offered to all Year groups from Years 8-14. Many girls participate on a regular basis and have been very successful over the years, including All Ireland, NI Cup and NI League wins.
Many players also get the opportunity to trial for representative squads. Over the years our girls have had a lot representation at a high level in netball.
Training
On Mondays, the Minors (Year 9) and Juniors (Year 10) train in Cookstown Leisure Centre from 4-5pm
On Tuesdays, the Intermediates (Year 11 & 12) and the Seniors (Year 13 & 14) train in Cookstown Leisure Centre from 4-5pm
On Wednesdays, Year 8’s train in Cookstown Leisure Centre from 4- 5 pm
On Thursdays, the Year 9 & 10 ‘B’ Squads train from 4-5pm in the Girls Gym.
Competitions
Year 8
Compete in the Local Year 8 Cross Community Tournament in March.
Minors, Juniors, Intermediates and Seniors
Compete in the SELB section of the N.I. League, the N.I. Cup and the local Cross Community Tournament
Representative Honours
Many players also get the opportunity to trial for representative squads including:

Regional Development Academy U13
Regional Development Academy U16
Over the years our girls have had a lot representation at a high level in netball.
Club Links
The girls here at Cookstown also have a link with local netball club, Mid Ulster Netball Club, whose home ground is in Cookstown Leisure Centre. The club meet every Monday night with many of our pupils attending.
Tour
The Senior girls also get to go on a Netball Tour every year, playing and experiencing netball at schools in Ireland, England and further a field.
