Key Stage 3 Provision
Yr 8 -10 - 2 x 50min (1 games/1 PE)
The PE/Games programme at Key Stage 3 is a progressive one that allows as much as possible for concepts to be revisited and developed over the three years. The school year is divided into six approximately equal blocks of 6-7 weeks from September through to June.
Areas studied:
PE - Health Related Exercise, Dance, Gymnastics, Sport Experience, Badminton, Basketball, Tennis and Athletics.
Games – Hockey, Netball, Football, Cricket, Softball
Pupils are assessed informally throughout each module and this together with representation on school teams forms the basis for end of year comments on school reports.
Key Stage 4 Provision
Year 11– 1 x 50min Lesson
Boys Games – Hockey, Football, Badminton, Fitness, Tennis and Cricket
Girls Games - Hockey, Netball, Fitness, Badminton, Athletics and Tennis.
Year 12/13/14 - 1 x 110min Lesson
Games choice as for Yr 11 + pupils also have the opportunity also to use the Fitness, Swimming and Squash facilities in the Leisure Centre.
