A level
Course Requirements:
GCSE Music is not essential!
However, it is important that you play an instrument to a minimum of Grade 4 standard for AS and Grade 6 standard for A2. If you have not done GCSE Music, Grade 5 theory would be beneficial.
It does not matter what your instrument is…voice, electric guitar, bagpipes, drum kit as well as orchestral instruments and piano have all been presented in Cookstown High School at GCE level.
It is important that you continue to have lessons on your instrument during AS/A2.
Apple iMacs are used for composition tasks, using Logic Pro as a creative and recording tool.
