CHS Under 15s crowned League Champions [Posted: 22/05/05]
For the third time in four years this High School team won the Coleraine and District League with another impressive season of high quality football. Cookstown had qualified for the Play-Off Final having won six of their seven league matches. Their opponents in the final played last week at Fortwilliam Park, the home of Tobermore United FC, were St Mary's from Limavady. Cookstown played some magnificent football in the first half, tearing open the Limavady defence time and time again, as Marcus Dallas bossed the midfield with D.Best, who once again performed his "Makalele" role to perfection. By half time the game was more or less over as CHS romped to a 5-1 lead. W. Ferguson netted twice, with BJ Lees, M. Dallas and captain D. Ames also adding their names to the score sheet. C. Martin and K. Wilson marshalled the Cookstown defence superbly, while R. Donaghy at left back played possibly his best game of the season. In the second half BJ Lees coolly added Cookstown's sixth goal after being put through by yet another exquisite M. Dallas pass. Although St. Mary's did pull a couple of goals back the result was never in doubt, allowing D. Ames to "lift" the trophy. Team: G. Eastwood, L. Forrest, R. Donaghy, C. Martin, K. Wilson, S. Dallas, M. Dallas, D. Ames (c), D. Best, W. Ferguson, BJ Lees Subs: G. Sloan, W. Ferson, W. Watson, A. Carson W. Warwick

David Answers Ireland’s Call! [Posted: 18/04/05]
Congratulations to David in year 11 who has been selected to play for the Ireland Under 16 team. It was the strength of his performances, as a member of the Ulster side that won the recent inter-provincial tournament, that persuaded Ireland coach Drew Campbell to grant David a trial. In a very demanding two day trial David proved that he had the fitness and composure to make it as one of the best under 16 midfielders in Ireland.

Under 14 Footballers in Sudden Death Shoot Out! [Posted: 27/12/04]
The U14 football team played Ballymoney High School in the final of the Coleraine and District League at Loreto College in Coleraine. After going one nil down in the first half the boys battled back to take a 2 – 1 lead, after a super strike form Johnny Ames and a well placed penalty by Stuart Dallas. The match seemed won only to be spoiled by a late Ballymoney equaliser. The Match went to extra time and then penalties, Stuart Dallas, Marc Harkness, Michael Hogshaw and David Millar all scored their penalties with Michael Brown awesome in goal saving three penalties.
So congratulations to all the boys and their coach Mr Wilson.
