Girls Hockey Tour to Edinburgh

On Wednesday evening our 1st XI girls returned from a very successful tour to Edinburgh. Their first game was against the recently crowned Scottish Champions, George Watson College. The result was a 3-0 defeat for Cookstown in what was a very challenging game.

The following day the team travelled to Glasgow to play Craigholme School and in what was a very exciting game the final result was a 4-4 draw. Unfortunately during the tour Rebecca D was unable to play as she is still carrying an injury but this only strengthened the resolve of the younger players who showed great commitment and talent.

Mrs Henderson would like to thank all of the 1st XI for their commitment this season and especially Captain Rachel C and Vice-captain Rebecca S for their efforts on behalf of the team.
