Journey of a Lifetime for Marcelle

This money was raised by holding various events in school and Marcelle would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and pupils involved for all their help and support in raising this fantastic amount.

Marcelle works as a Special Needs Classroom Assistant in the Learning Support Centre here in the High School and has recently been chosen to be one of 8 leaders on this year’s Journey of a Lifetime Trust trip. There will be a total of 24 of some of the UK’s most disadvantaged youngsters involved.

She will be there primarily to support those youngsters who have varying degrees of sensory impairment.

The latest JoLt expedition is set for July 2010 and will be to the incredible island of Borneo. Borneo is the third largest island in the world with the oldest unspoiled rainforests and some of the world's most beautiful coral reefs. The trip will last four weeks and will take in many of the national parks and wildlife reserves. We plan to see orangutans in their natural habitat, snorkel on the coral reefs, camp on beaches and in wildlife settings, follow jungle trails and explore huge cave chambers.

Marcelle would like you to help her continue to raise much needed funds in order to provide these young people with their Journey of a lifetime by coming along to Tesco (Cookstown) on Saturday 13 th March, using her bag packing service and donating any loose change that you might have, to give these young people memories that will last a lifetime.
