District Cross Country Championships

Twenty two pupils travelled to Dungannon Park last Thursday to compete in the District Cross Country Championships. Underfoot conditions were difficult after the recent poor weather but this did not affect some of our younger athletes.

The Year 8 girls were first off and Erin H and Claire B put in excellent performances to finish 8th and 10th respectively.

This seemed to inspire the Year 8 boys and the star performer on the day was Joshua W who finished an excellent 3rd in his 1 mile race. He was followed closely by Ian J in 21st place.

All four of these athletes have qualified for the Ulster Schools Championships which will be held next week.

Well done to all those who competed and we wish Joshua, Ian, Erin and Claire good luck in the Ulster Schools Cross Country Championships which will be held at Mallusk on Wednesday 20th February.
