Book Fair 2007
posted 28 Sept 07

The Library Resource Centre once again hosted a Scholastic Book Fair which has now become an annual event in the life of the school.

The purpose of the Book Fair is to encourage pupils to develop a life-long love of reading. The Library Resource Centre also earns commission on sales which is used to purchase some fabulous new books for our library. Again, this year’s Book Fair was a great success, with staff and pupils supporting the event throughout the week.

Special thanks must go to the Pupil Librarians and Sixth Form who gave up a great deal of their free time to supervise and sell books. This was quite a commitment for the entire week.

Total sales = £ 800.00

These sales enabled the LRC to select books to the value of £ 440.00 from the Book Fair cases (55% commission). The new books will be available to borrow from the library shortly.
