Sisters selected onto N. Ireland Senior Netball Team

Congratulations to Lisa and Kyla B. who were selected last weekend onto the N. Ireland senior Netball squad. The squad of 12 will be going to Bath in England from the 20th-22nd January to play one of the top super league sides in the country ‘Team Bath’. This is in preparation for the European senior Championships which will be held in N. Ireland from 16th-18th February in Lisburn Racquets Club.

This is a fantastic achievement as Lisa is 18 and Kyla is only 16 years of age. Both girls are studying for their A levels at Cookstown High School but are from Magherafelt.

The High School is enjoying having 3 girls currently on N. Ireland Squads, Lisa, Kyla and Gail B who is on the N. Ireland U19 squad. Needless to say with this ability and experience the High School are having a very successful year with Lisa captaining the senior team.

 Both girls were in the lime light earlier in the week when they were interviewed by Radio Ulster about their recent netball selection.
