Minor and junior High School Netball teams win PSNI League Finals

Cookstown High School minor and junior netball teams played in the PSNI Cross-Community league finals on Friday 10 March 2006. This competition, along with a tournament, are very kindly sponsored by PSNI Dungannon and the schools involved would like to thank the PSNI for their continued support for these events.

To reach the finals the junior team had played several matches during the term, beating Integrated College, Dungannon 17-9, Drumglass High School 31-5 and Fivemiletown High School 14-3. In the final they played against St Patrick’s Academy, Dungannon and after a very tough match eventually won 21-14.

Junior team: Kirstie McC (Captain), Rachel T, Jessica R, Zara D, Karen L, Alice M, Rachel C, Chloe McK, Nicola F, Megan S, Alica F, Sara C, Emma C and Stephanie B.

In the minor league Cookstown played and won against Integrated College, Dungannon 23-4, Drumglass High School 33-0 and Fivemiletown High School 14-1.

In the final they played against St Patrick’s Academy, Dungannon and won 20-7.
