Last Thursday Cookstown District Council held an award ceremony during which they honoured a group of our Year 8 Boys

The boys: Keith H, Mark C, Paul W, Nigel B, Richard E, Kyle H, Matthew R, Ryan M and Ian S who were on the Cookstown Primary School Team won every boy’s hockey competition they entered including the N I Cup.

The future of Hockey in Cookstown High school looks bright as this year over nearly 30 boys attend Year 8 practice and are really enjoying the sport. Let us hope that the boys will continue to enjoy success at CHS and fill our trophy cabinet!!

Other pupils were recognised last Thursday including Samantha T for being the NI Junior Max Carting Champion and Paula B, Rebecca D, David A and David B for individual Hockey Achievements.
